Your life in pictures – but without the stiff poses!

A Lifestyle Portrait session should really get to the heart of who you are, a little insight into the real you perhaps? No matter whether it’s a family, a couple or a newborn baby, these sessions will capture a slice of your life so it’s important to get the setting right. Choosing the most appropriate environment for your session makes a big difference in the final image outcome.

Climbing trees, piggy backs on the beach or a walk through the woods, or maybe even a game of footie at the park – these are just some of the settings I’ve been asked to use for portrait sessions. Afterall, surely it’s about getting you across in the images, not an awkward shot with a false smile. Stiff poses just don’t work. There I’ve said it. And it’s true. When was the last time you saw a formal portrait where everyone was  laughing? Think hard now….hmmm, didn’t think so.

I know what you’re thinking, ‘but if I don’t have a portrait done very often how will I look relaxed?’ Well, it really does come down to the environment you choose for your session and your photographer. I’m always happy to offer up ideas and settings for your session, as it’s important that you feel comfortable as it will bring the most out of the photo session.

What’s more, you’ll enjoy it far more if you’re in a familiar place and that’s when we get a great collection of shots that evoke emotion. And, as Photographers go, I’m a friendly guy that gets a real buzz out of what I do and I’d like to hope this shows in the images I produce.

These Lifestyle Photography sessions last around one and a half hours and can take place anywhere in Norfolk and start from £125.
