Ormesby Manor

Ormesby Manor is a beautiful, utterly stunning and totally unique venue, situated in Ormesby St Margaret, which is now available to book as a Wedding Venue in Norfolk.

I had the pleasure of photographing a styled bridal shoot there last Friday, as you may have caught on my Facebook Page, which spanned most parts of the house as well as the extensive grounds.  This was my first shoot at Ormesby Manor, having had a scout around the previous week, checking out the venue and looking at which rooms we were using and where else I could photograph to make the most of this venue.  I have to say, there is NOT one place, one room or a single little space that does not lend itself entirely to being photographed.  I knew I only had a finite amount of time during the shoot, but I could have stayed in each room all day and not got bored.  It really takes a special place to bring about that sense of awe.  Talk about a dog with two tails!  Yes, I was excited…absolutely!

For the couples that book this gorgeous venue you will not be short of rooms to escape to or little corners you can hide in order to have some “you” time.  It’s furnished so tastefully that you’d just never want to leave.  In fact as soon as you enter the Manor you are greeted with such beautiful features, an amazing sweeping staircase to start with, the kind you are probably used to seeing in films, but step briefly to your right and you are in the main living room, with its high ceilings, shuttered windows and large grand fireplace, it totally overwhelms you, and this is just the first room!  Back to the large entrance hall and you have another room opposite which could serve well as room for canapés or mingling with guests.  Follow the entrance hall through further still and you enter the beautiful kitchen with its island for easy catering and off this room you have a cosy sitting room to relax away from the party.  A collection of gorgeous bedrooms are spread among the upper levels, including a bridal suite, of course.

I could go on all day describing how stunning this venue is, however, to keep it a bit more brief I would just say that this house has enough space to allow you to have an amazing wedding that you and your guests will never forget.  Have a look at their website or even get in touch to chat about spending your Wedding at Ormesby Manor.

Styled Shoot

I don’t want to show too many images as I’m still in the process of editing.  However,  take a look at the images below to give you a little insight into how your Wedding could look here.  This styled shoot was put together to show off the talents of some of Norfolk’s finest while also showcasing Ormesby Manor as a bespoke Wedding Venue, which, incidentally, is an exclusive private use wedding venue.  This is quite unique in Norfolk, as when you hire this venue you have the entire venue for your exclusive use for a period of 3 days and 2 nights.  It really is a one of a kind place that has to be visited to be really appreciated.  Our visit, to carry out the styled shoot, served as an introduction to, as far as I know, the only period venue in Norfolk offering such a personal service in such amazing surroundings.

More of the styled shoot will appear on this blog very soon!!!
